Anita Summerlin

Anita Joyce Summerlin, 81, went to be with the Lord on Nov 16, 2024 . She is preceded in death by her adoring husband, Pinky and her loving son, Charlie.  She is survived by her daughters Joy Gross, Gena Hudson (David), and Tina Gober.

She had 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren: Joshua Hudson (Katie, Madelyn, Makinley), Pip Hudson (Jamie, Peyton, Levi, Parker, Lily), Nicole Sowell (Dave, Hudson, Caroline, Hayes), Emily Carter (Aydan and Addison), Eric Gober, Amy Greene (Jonathan and Faye), Joel Gober (Kourtney, Micah, Lucas, Ava Claire), Jess Gober (Calley), Andrew Gross (Kaity and Westyn), and Nick Gober (Abbie and Brooks).

Anita loved road trips with her family, her life-long group of girlfriends, and Bit o' Honey candy.

She will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 21st at Bell Forestdale Chapel at 2077 Pratt Hwy Birmingham, Al. 35214.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery.
