Anna Slatsky Jones, 94, passed away on October 14, 2024. Born on April 24, 1930. Anna lived her life simply in Brookside, Al. Her normal attire was blue jeans and a button down shirt. And in the summer months, the sleeves would be cut out of these shirts. Anna loved to play BINGO in her younger days and could often be seen driving around Brookside picking up her friends in her '57 Chevy, headed to the BINGO hall. Anna also loved cats and always owned one. She would also feed all the stray cats that came around her home. If you drove by her home and she was on the front porch, you were sure to get a big smile and a wave. Anna was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

Anna is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Johnny) Vodosia and son, Jeff (Kay) Jones; grandson, Jason (Kristi) Reno and Andrew (EmaLee) Jones; granddaughter, Terri Lunceford; great grandchildren, Crosby , Eisley, Allison, Katelyn, Brianna and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held for Anna on Thursday, October 17th at 1:00 p.m. at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Hollis Alexander will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers family request memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Hospital or your local Humane Society.
