Rev. Archer H. Thorpe age 94 went home to be with the Lord on 3/22/14
He was a retired minister with 60 years of faithful service in the Birmingham area. Rev. Thorpe is survived by his 2 sons Mr . Archer Thorpe Jr. (Linda) and Clarence Thorpe (Sheila);his daughter Esther Howard and his sister Margaret Harmon . 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25th at Holt Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa with visitation from 1 pm til service time at the church. He will be laid to rest at Oakland cemetery in Birmingham. Rev. Rick Mitchell will be officiating. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
