TAFT, BARBARA age 77 of Quinton, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013. She was born to the late Carrie and Leonard McCarty on February 29, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama. Barbara attended Dora High School and she married the late William Larry Taft in 1950 and they lived together in Sumiton, Alabama. Also Barbara was preceded in death by her Children, Deborah Best, Michael Larry Taft and Karen Pettus and Siblings, Neal McCarty, Jerry McCarty, Anne Bracknell and Margie Morgan. She is survived by her Grandchildren, Cortni Miller, Wendi Ellis and Thomas Michael Bookout; Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12th at Bell Forestdale Chapel. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
