Betty Jean Burr, age 93, of Brookside, AL, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Funeral service will be at Bell Funeral Home - Forestdale on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. The family will receive guests from 11:00 a.m. until the service begins. Burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery in Brookside. Bro. Guy Moore will be officiating the service. 

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Rolen Henry “Pete” Burr; son, Ronald Dale “Sput” Burr; son-in-law, Gene Jones; grandson, Bradley Jones; parents, Fred and Ludie Carreker, and 13 siblings.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Gloria “Siz” Jones; son, Rolen Randall “Bo” Burr (Sherry); daughter-in-law, Cindy Burr; grandkids: Lori Reynolds (Glen Dickerson), Stacy Douglas (Gilbert), Jennifer Whitworth (Jeremy), Zackery Burr (Jennifer), and Eric Burr (Leandra); great-grandkids: Blake Greer (Bailee), Shannon Jones, Isaac Burr, Isaiah Burr, Ian Burr, Bryson Douglas, Kathryn Douglas, Averi Douglas, Olivia Douglas, Henry Burr, Mary Frances Burr, Adelaide Burr, Anderson Burr, and Jeslynn Whitworth; great-great-grandson, Beaux Greer; sister, Carol Beard (Raymond).
