Bobby Ray Harbin, 88 years old, departed this life on December 8, 2024 bound for heaven. Bobby was born in Carbon Hill, Alabama and was raised in Maytown,, Alabama. He attended Minor High School and was in the class of 1954. He joined the Army at 16 and served in Germany. Bobby worked as a Locomotive Engineer for L&N railroad (CSX) for 42 years. He was a member of Maytown Baptist Church and attended Forestdale Baptist until it closed.

Bobby was preceded in death by parents Walter Harbin and Lucy Hardin Harbin; also brothers and sisters – Helen Dawson, Edith Cunningham, Dick Harbin, Bud Harbin, Thelma Harbin, Richard Harbin, Loretta Duncan, Wilma Rainwater and his twin sister Betty Faye Hargrove.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Franklin Harbin and they have two children; Debbie Harbin Jones (Ron) and Sheila Harbin Hayes (David) Bobby and Betty have six grandchildren- Jaime Jones Clark (Tim), Andrea Jones Gholson (Joey), Tyler Jones (Julie), Rachel Weber Bush (Stephen), Alexandria Weber Pittman and Wesley Jewell; Bobby and Betty have 21 great Grandchildren, Macayla Bush, Micah Sanford, Noah Bush, Payton Clark, Aiden Weintraub, Alston Sanford, Judah Bush, Ethan Clark, Sam Jones, Zeek Weintraub, Landon Jewell, Amayah Bush, Chase Whitcraft, Liam Jewell, Ezra Bush, Rylee Jones, Adalyn Whitcraft, Bella Rose Bush, Brandon Pittman, Alex Pittman and Zephaniah Bush. Bobby has remaining brothers Bill Harbin and James Harbin (Marsha). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13th from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at Bell Forestdale Chapel with Graveside Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Bro.
