Brenda “Hootie” Jordan, born on April 14, 1954, passed away peacefully at her residence on August 11, 2026. Brenda’s life was marked by warmth, kindness, and a vibrant spirit that touched everyone she met.
Brenda was known for her boundless energy and her unique gift for bringing joy and comfort to others. She found a calling in brightening the days of those who were unwell or in need, often donning a clown costume and spreading cheer in hospice and hospital facilities, including Children’s Hospital. Her generosity and willingness to give of herself in service to others left an indelible mark on her community. Through simple acts of kindness and humor, she helped countless people find smiles even in the midst of difficult times.
Above all, Brenda cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Roger Jordan, who was her steadfast companion, her children: Kimberly Nichole Adkins and her husband Michael, Jason Lee Adkins and his wife Renee, Anna Jordan, Sonyia Jordan, Carrie Clark, Christy Higginbotham, and Sherry Lowery, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, family and friends.
Brenda’s devotion to her children, family, and friends was unwavering, and her memory will remain a guiding light for each of them.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ruby and James Hill, and by Dale Hill, Wayne Hill, Eylsia Robertson, and Mary Helen Bonin.
Funeral services will be August 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Bell Funeral Home- Forestdale Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to service. After the services, Brenda will be laid to rest at Village Falls Cemetery in Mulga, Alabama.
The family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to Southern Care/ New Beacon's Isaac and Nicole for all the special care they provided Brenda.
Brenda “Hootie” Jordan’s legacy lives on in the laughter she shared and the selfless love she showed to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
