EVANS, BRIDGAS RAY age 66 of Birmingham, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013. He was a member of Forestdale Church of God and a Licensed Bishop for the Church of God; was a member of the Chaplains Commission and a Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Army. He was known to many as Pop. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Evans; parents, Bo and Virginia Evans; brother, James Stanley Evans; sisters, Ann Judd and Wanda Johnsey. He is survived by his Devoted Wife of Forty-Four years, Sharon Evans; Son, Kenneth Ray Evans, Sr.; Sister, Faye Wickersham; Brothers, Charles Edward Evans, Jr., Kevin Evans; Grandchildren, Justin D. Lawson Evans, Kenneth Ray Evans, Jr., Bridget Evans; Great-Grandchildren, Nealon Lawson and Brayden Evans. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 27th at 12:00 Noon at Forestdale Church of God, 1433 Tomahawk Road B''ham, Al 35214 with burial to follow at Sylvan Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
