Charlotte Higgins Powell age 67 of Hoover, passed away on July 16, 2017. She was a Retried School Teacher from Pleasant Grove High School.  She was preceded in death by her Brother, Ronald Higgins; Father, Leon Higgins and Mother, Maude Ireland Higgins. She is survived by her Husband of 45 years, James Harris Powell; Son, James (Jimmy) Harris Powell, Jr. (Heidi) ; Grandsons, James Harris Powell III, Stephen Elliott Powell, Jeffrey Peterson "Pete" Powell, Granddaughter, Erynn LeeAnn Powell;
Son, Jeremy Higgins Powell (Rachel); Grandson, Samuel Higgins Powell and Granddaughter, Elizabeth (Ellie) Miller Powell; Brother, Richard (Norma) Higgins and a Host of Special Nieces and Nephews.   Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 20th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Crumly Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
