Darrell Hand, 63 of Huntsville passed away on December 8, 2021 surrounded by his closest loved ones. Darrell graduated from Auburn University in 1980 and went on to have many amazing accomplishments. Darrell worked as VP for Alagasco gas company for over 20 years. He was most recently working at Magnolia River as the Director of Engineering Administration. Outside of work, Darrell was a beloved father, brother, son, husband and friend,  among many other titles. Darrell was extremely passionate about his faith and sharing the love of Jesus with anyone he encountered. He loved spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. Darrell also loved golfing, crossword puzzles, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Auburn Tigers play football. Darrell was respected and loved by many people, he was a light in a dark world and his life reflected his relationship with The Lord. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him and loved others so well. He was survived by his beloved wife, Martha Alice Hand, his parents Gerald and Jean Hand, brother Scott Hand (Vanessa), nephews Blake and Ben Hand, his son Colby Hand (wife Ashley), daughter Claire Kizer (husband Brian), step-son Hank Fillingim (wife Karen), step-daughter Kelly Fillingim, step-daughter Kathan Fillingim, and five grandchildren and a host of other family and friends who loved him.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Village Falls Cemetery.  Rev. Michael Wesley, Jr. and Bro. Mike Harden will be officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until time of service.
