David Elbert May, age 81 of Birmingham ( Sandusky ) Alabama passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.

He is survived by his wife Barbara May, and daughter Donna Hays,  (Ben) and  three grandchildren,  Laura Hays,  Benjamin Hays lll,  (Meghan) and Brian Hays, (Dezirae).

Seven great grandchildren,  Abigail Hays,  Emily Hays, Ella Claire Hays, Benjamin IV, Andrew Kanser, Ashton Hays, and Alexis Allen.

Mr. May was a member of Sandusky First Baptist Church. Graduated from Minor High School in 1956.He was a  Veteran of United States Army.

Mr. May was an active member of the Model Railroad Club and loved his football teams,  University of Alabama and Green Bay Packers.

Mr. May will be greatly missed by family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Bell Funeral Home Forestdale on Friday, September 27 from 11:00 am to 1: 00 pm.  Services beginning at 1:00 pm.   Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.  Bro. Ricky Thacker and Bro. Herman Pair officiating.
