Donna Jean Creel Bennefield passed peacefully surrounded with the love and support of family on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Donna was born on October 3, 1962 in Birmingham and was the daughter of Joseph and Evelyn Creel. Being one of nine siblings, she treasured growing up in a large family. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Charles "Charlie" Bennefield , two brothers, two sisters and a niece and two nephews.

Donna spent her life dedicated o the caring of and raising of her nieces and nephews. They say it takes a village and Donna was that village you could count on. Those same nephews and nieces catered to her every need in her final years on this earth.

She will be remembered for her laughter and force of spirit. She was always ready with a quip and loving embrace. She was the love that bridged the gap for her many family and friends. She possessed an incredible ability to spread the love of Christ and was always willing to share a meal with those she loved.

Donna attended Ensley High School and University of Montevallo with her passion in pharmacy. She was a member of Unity Baptist and was considered family at Calcedonia Baptist.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31 ^st at Unity Baptist Church in Kimberly. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Bro. Calvin Armstrong, Bro. Ron McKeever and Bro. Danny Miller will be officiating. The family will have a brief graveside at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Pell City at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Donna would appreciate donations or volunteered time to one of the following places: North Hill Home, Expect Care Hospice, your local dialysis clinic or the American Diabetes Association.
