Edward "Dee" Best age 81 of Birmingham, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, October 1, 2015. He was retired from AT&T with nearly 40 years of Service; a Veteran of the U.S. Army Korean War; and a faithful member and Deacon of Forestdale Baptist Church; and especially loved gospel music, the Blackwood Brothers and The Dixie Echos Quartets, as well as many more. He was preceded in death by his First Wife, Ruby Best and Daughter, Amy Lynn Best; He is survived by his Wife, Elizabeth Stott Best; Son, Jeff Best (Cindy); Daughter, Lori Best; Stepson, David Stott (Donna); Brother, William E. Best (Donna); Five Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper. Rev. Don Batson and Rev.
