Obituary

Sissie Click passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. Born as Elizabeth Jean Pender on March 29, 1934, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was married to Ray Click for 60 years until his passing in 2015. She drove a school bus for Jefferson County for 18 years. She was known for her giving spirit and servant’s heart. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years, from toddlers to adults. Her hobbies were hiking through the woods, traveling, camping, sewing, baking, making candy, and loving on babies.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband, Ray Click, and her son, Nathan.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Mayo and Lisa Langner (Steve); grandchildren, Jason Mayo (Charity), Renae Castle (Mike), and Jennifer Hill (Danny); great-grandchildren, Andrew, Micah, Hannah, Jordan, and Caylee; and her adopted family, Tracy Helms, Samantha Helms Bullock (Jesse), and Meghanne Helms and Alex Dobbins.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 2, at Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Adamsville.
