Eolin "Ms. E" Jones Snyder, 90 of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020. She was born in Republic, Alabama on May 4, 1930. Eolin was a member of Forestdale Baptist Church , where she had been actively involved and served in the Children's Ministry, the Choir Ministry, and the JOY Ministry. Eolin enjoyed serving God with Witness 3, a gospel singing group. She was more recently involved with Elmcroft Church, where she and her husband resided, as a vital part of their ministry playing the piano and leading residents in singing. She worked as a bookkeeper but most importantly, she was a stay at home mom.
Eolin was preceded in death by her parents, George Rufus "Bud" and Maude Echols Jones, brothers John, Kenneth, Willis, Theran (PeeWee), and sisters Mary Herrington, Crecy Woodward and Eunice Sanford.
Eolin is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Joe "Mr. Joe" Snyder; daughters Sunny (Larry) Mays and Kathy Jo (Johnny) Baker; grandchildren Melissa (Rocky) Johnson, Drew Mays, Shannon Boland, Tiffany (Keith) Jackson, and Jonathan (Sarah) Baker; great-grandchildren Georgia, Matthew, Andrew, Trent, Harper, Henley, Sawyer, Graham, Cameron, Miller Kate, Avery and Collins; brother Don (Doris) Jones; a host of nieces and nephews, great -nieces and -nephews, and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at 11:00 am at ClearBranch United Methodist Church in Trussville, Alabama Private Graveside Service will follow for family only at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Vaughn Stafford and David Phillips will be officiating. During this time, the church is large enough to allow for social distancing and we ask that you be prepared to do so. We also ask that everyone be respectful of each other and wear masks. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to ClearBranch United Methodist Church and designated for Elmcroft Senior Living. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
