Poe, Florene Bircheat, age 83 of Hoover, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Active member of Westmont Baptist Church and was very active in the Minor Heights Community where she enjoyed helping others and where she loved to craft and use her artistic talent to enrich the lives of others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Poe; sisters, Mary and Imajean and brother, Rudolph. She is survived by daughter, Linda Holcombe (Darrel); son, Richard "Rick" Poe (Donna); brothers, Gary Bircheat, Larry Bircheat; sister, Patsy Ashcraft; grandchildren, Greg Holcombe, Stacey Holcombe, Sandra Goodhew and great-grandchildren, Matthew Rasbury, Cody Holcombe and Kaley Holcombe. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 2:00 p.m. at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial at Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Nathan Daniels will be officiating.
