Obituary

George Henry "Buddy" Robbins Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 16, 2022.  Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Linnie Taylor Robbins Bryant and George Henry Robbins Sr.; his sister, Ella Robbins; and his son, George Henry "Sonny" Robbins III.  He is survived by his daughter, Karen Robbins Spradling; sons, Russell Robbins and Kevin Robbins; sisters, Jean Bowen, Betty Jo Henson and Mickey Parks; grandchildren, Jaime (Alyson) Spradling, Austin Spradling, Jessica Robbins, Ashley Robbins, Bill Enoch and Kassandra Robbins; great grandchildren, Dylan, Kate'lynn, Gage, Layla, Levi, Will and Ben.  Buddy was born on July 5, 1937 and grew up in the Sayre Camp area.  At the age of 16, he and his family moved to Adamsville.  He was a 1957 graduate of Minor High School.  In 1959, Buddy opened his business,  "Buddy's Florist" in Adamsville.  He worked up until a few years ago when he sold the business to enjoy retirement.  His natural ability to create beauty could be seen in everything he touched, especially his floral arrangements.  Buddy was always involved in community events and fundraisers.  His great acts of giving and kindness will now be rewarded by his Heavenly Father.  Per his wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held.  Buddy's wish was that everyone make a donation to a local food bank or charity dedicated to helping those in need inside our community.
