Obituary

George Wright of West Jefferson and a native of Wylam, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his Parents, George Hubert Wright and Lois Brasfield Wright; Sister, Mary Jones and Beloved Great-Grandson, Hayden Alfano.  He is survived by his Wife and Best Friend of 48 years, Jennice Wright; Daughter, Christine Mathews; Son, Bert Wright (JoAnn); Grandchildren, Codi Bynum (Randall), Jessi Mathews (Joe Alfano), Ian Mathews (Shanna), Summer & Lacy Wright; Great-Grandchildren, Mathew and Becca Bynum, Tye, Jaxon, Aiden and Charlotte Mathews; One Brother, Terry Wright (Beverly); Two Sisters, Shirley Shipp and Brenda Malmede; Several Nieces and Nephews and his constant companion of 13 years, Momma Kitty.  Mr. Wright was an employee of Butler Mfg. for 34 years and Retired from Birmingham Fastner.  He played with several Country Bands for over 30 years.  He will be missed by many and most especially his Wife and Partner in Life.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 23rd at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery (Ensley).  Rev. John Killian officiating.  Visitation will be on Saturday One Hour Prior to Service.
