On July 9, 2024, Glenda opened her eyes in heaven. She was born on June 9, 1946 in Brookside, AL where she lived her entire life. She was a lifelong member of Bivens Chapel Church. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Margarett McConnell, as well as six of her sisters- Charlene (Chuck) McConnell Goode, Carolyn (Grey) McConnell Spruell, Melba McConnell Shirley, Barbara McConnell Pickle, Kaye McConnell Smith, Gail McConnell Tolbert, and Several nieces, nephews, and brothers in law also met her in heaven. She is survived by her sister, Sherri McConnell McCondichie and brother in law, Jake Tolbert as well as numerous nieces and nephews, panning multiple generations. Glenda loved Jesus. Early in her Christian life, she was a member of a gospel group called the Gospel Lights. She taught several Sunday school classes. She was devoted to her church, her community and especially her family and friends. She was everyone's favorite.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 12th starting at 10:00 a.m. at Bivens Chapel Methodist Church with Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in Bivens Chapel Cemetery.
