Obituary

Hattie "June"Cox Myers passed away peacefully on October 13, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Lewy Body Dementia.  June "Nana" was absolutely the kindest and most gentle person you could ever meet.   She loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart.
She spent her life working hard, providing for her family, taking care of her husband of 47 years, her children and grandchildren. June was loved by everyone who met her and was a loyal and loving friend
"Nana" was an amazing cook and made sure every Sunday everyone in the family was together for dinner, fellowship and laughter.

She worked at A & P in the bookkeeping department for 20 years in Birmingham and Jacksonville, Fl. She then worked at Edwards Chevrolet for 8 years and finished her career at Samford University for over 30 years. She loved her work families at each company and cherished every relationship she made at each company. She was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church for 60 years and continued attending every Sunday until she couldn't drive anymore. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Joe Wayne Myers; Parents, Quince and Bessie Cox; Sisters, Beatrice Campbell, Lillie Lacey, Ruby Cox and Dorothy Cox and Brothers, James Cox, Gerald Cox, Cecil Cox, Robert Cox, Gene Cox and Richard Cox. She is survived by her Sons, Kevin Wayne Myers (Cheryl), Steven Joe Myers (Julie); Daughter, Julie Suzanne Dailey (Robert Jr.); Grandchildren, Courteney Cooper (Clayton), Kaira McAdams (Taylor), Shelbie Haars (Michael Sr.), Laura Stephens (Justin), Olivia Dailey, Casey Myers (Caroline); Great Grandchildren, Colton McAdams, Logan McAdams, Casen McAdams, Rhett McAdams, Michael Haars Jr., Jacob Haars, Emma Myers, Kane Myers, Addison Stephens and Luke Stephens and A Host of Nieces, Nephews. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Bro. Buddy Gray will be officiating.
