James Michael Blanton age 78 of Adamsville, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by his Father, James Rutledge Blanton; Mother, Irene Handley Blanton; Brothers, Tom Blanton, Frank Blanton, J. R. Blanton and Gary Blanton. He is survived by his Wife, Joyce Blanton of Adamsville; Daughters, Michelle Troup (Jock Troup) of Prattville, Carrie Lutes (Craig Lutes) of Montevallo, Alana Jones (Nate Jones) of Alabaster; Grandchildren, Joshua, Jonah, John Thomas and Macy Troup of Prattville; Lana, Eva, Sam and Joe Jones of Alabaster; siblings Ann Sweat (John), Gwen Burnett, Tim Blanton, and Dale Blanton(Lynda). Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Bro. Joseph Jones and Bro. Mark Boyd will be officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
