James "Jimmy" Cecil Holmes, Jr. age 72 of Bessemer, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. He is preceded in death by his Father, James Cecil Holmes; Mother, Annie Elizabeth Holmes; and Brother, Sammie Holmes. He is survived by Daughter, Rhonda Holmes Estis (Chuck); Sons, James Cecil "Bubba" Holmes, III, Patrick Sherlock Holmes (Kelly); Sister, Nancy Deaver (Ken); Grandchildren, Brittani Holmes, Jorden Estis, Brieanna Holmes, Dillian Estis, Jeremiah Chase Holmes, Riley Holmes and Abi Holmes and a multiple of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Extended Family. James "Jimmy" Holmes was an Honored Firefighter for Birmingham. He also served as a Green Beret in the Army Reserve and he was a multiple Business Owner of Auto Parts Yards as well. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial in Forest Hills Cemetery. Bro. Guy Moore officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Bell Forestdale Chapel.
