Lt. Commander USN Retired James Ronnie "Jim" Higgins age 70 of Hueytown, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017. He was a Member of Westmont Baptist Church, he was a Guitar Player & Singer who shared his talent wherever he could and with his group at the "Alliance Opry".  He is preceded in death by his Parents, Lonnie and Hazel Higgins; Son, Kevin Higgins and Brother, Howard Neyland Higgins.  He is survived by his Wife, Linda Higgins; Daughter, Belinda Fulton; Son, Nathan; Grandson, Dustin Fulton; Brother, Artis Higgins (Iris); Sister, Imogene Sloman (Neal); Sister-in-law, Shirley Higgins; Stepsons, Harold (Michelle); Craig (Jennifer) and Johnny Drummonds; Step-grandchildren, Ryne  (Jori); Austin (Selena), Carlie, Dalton, Harrison and Judson Drummonds; Nieces and Nephews who he loved dearly and many cousins and friends and the Crew at ALL Star Diner.  Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9 th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with Full Military Graveside Service at Village Falls Cemetery.  Bro. Nathan Daniels and Bro. Mark Gallops will be officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Westmont Youth Mission Trip or St. Jude's or Shriner Children.  Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
