James Ruben Wade, 76, of Sylvan Springs, Alabama, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.

James, Jimmy to most, could be described as a hard worker, good hearted, faith-filled, loves to talk, caring, giving, artistic, and the list goes on. He gifted those around him with stories and laughter.

Jimmy proudly served his country in the army for six years and was employed with US Steel for 30 years. When he wasn't working at the Steel Mill, he would be working with his hobby of ornamental iron making anything from trailers, handrails, security doors, to flower basket hangers.

Jimmy loved his family and friends, and especially his dog, Prissy. To describe Jimmy as faith-filled, loving, and selflewould only scratch the surface of a man who dedicated his life to service, joy, and love. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dawn Hudgens Wade; daughter, Mollie McCown (Joe); daughter, Gina Warren (David); daughter, Amanda Wade; daughter, Amber Christen (Michael); brother, Jerry Wade (Mary); brother, Freddy Wade. 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents James and Edna Ruth Wade, mother in law Jeanette Hudgens, father in law Louie Hudgens, and son Shon Rollins.

Jimmy will be laid to rest at the Alabama National Cemetery Montevallo at 2pm Graveside Service on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
