Janet “Jan” Brymer Jones, of Forestdale, AL, met her Master Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the age of 68. She was a loving wife, mother, and Gigi that will be dearly missed by her entire family. Jan dedicated 50 years to the funeral industry spanning from Forestdale, to Bessemer, to Hueytown. Her career led her back to Bell Funeral Home in Forestdale where she has worked since 2007. Jan also served as a member on the Forestdale Fire Board.

She was a member of Forestdale Baptist Church, where she helped lead the children’s ministry, was part of the choir, and eventually led the music. Upon its closure, she joined Sandusky First Baptist Church where she also led the music.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Talmadge and Jimmie Brymer, and her father-in-law, Don Jones. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bobby Jones; daughters Bailey (Heath) Washington and Jennifer (Taylor) Harper; grandchildren Delilah and Grant Washington; sister Carol (Leslie) Brooks; mother-in-law Doris Jones; brother-in-law Ron (Debbie) Jones; three nieces, two nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Bell Funeral Home Forestdale Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Bell Funeral Home Forestdale Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow Shanghi Cemetery.
