Jerry Wayne Mulkey October 28, 1946 - January 18, 2023
Jerry was born in Attalla, AL to Laylar and Ellis Mulkey. He graduated from Etowah High School and joined the Army where he served as a forward observer in Vietnam. Upon returning to Alabama from the service he began his career as an Ironworker in Local 92. He received his 50 year anniversary pin from Local 92 in 2021. His marriage to Jennifer was a true love story. They met dated a week and a half and married a week and a half later. They had 40 years together. He was a generous man who loved his family and life. He fought asbestosis and lung cancer to the very end.
He was a Past Master of Milton H Fies Lodge #722 F&AM of AL; KCCH Scottish Rite; York Rite; Shriner - Zamora Shrine; Dinar Grotto; Royal Order of Scotland; Past Grand Patron Order of the Eastern Star State of Alabama; Order of the Amaranth; PWOS White Shrine of Jerusalem; State Executive International Order of the Rainbow for Girls; and Honorary Legion of Honor Order of the Demolay.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer, Dog -"Baby Girl", sister Annette McDowell(George). Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Polly Meyers, brothers Jimmy Mulkey, James Mulkey, and son Matt Mulkey.
The family wants to thank everyone for their love and prayers and a special thanks to Dr. Patel and the VA oncology department.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31st at Bell Forestdale Chapel. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Military Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Montevallo National Cemetery
