Jesse Doyle Sanford, born December 9, 1922, passed away on October 1, 2013 at the age of 90. He was a member of Forestdale Baptist Church. Doyle served his country during World War II in the U. S. Army in Korea, China, and Burma (1943 - 1946). He joined ACIPCO Shopping Center in 1952 and spent his entire thirty-two years of service in the former commissary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtis and Elgan Sanford; sister, Elzora Lavies (James) and brother, James Sanford (Addie Mae). He is survived by his Wife of sixty-four years, Eunice J. Sanford; Daughter, Jan Topolski (Phil); Son, Ken Sanford (Sue); Grandchildren, David Sanford (Melissa), Derek Sanford (Fiancée Lauren Teal), Timothy Sanford (Fiancée Rebekah Leach); Great-Granddaughter, Abigail Eva Sanford and Sister, Joyce Weeks (Glenn) and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends. Funeral Service will be held on 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3rd at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Howard Thompson will be officiating.
