Jimmy D. Chappell 91 years of age,, passed away on Monday May 17, 2021.

Jimmy was born and raised in Sandusky, Alabama.  He was a proud Korean War Veteran, serving in the United States Army.  He was a member of Sandusky First Baptist Church, where he met and married his wife of 65 years Martha Williams Chappell.  They made their home in Sandusky.  He established Jimmy's Carpet Service and worked in many homes in the Forestdale community as the area was growing with many new homes in the 1960's and 70's.  He continued the business till he retired.  He served as a member of the Forestdale Lions Club, he was a Shriner with the Zamora Temple in the Go Cart Unit, and A member of the Masonic Lodge.  he loved Old cars, antiques, bluegrass music and gardening.

He was a very loved man and left so many wonderful memories and a legacy of faith.

He is survived by his Wife: Martha; Daughters: Janice (Bill) Reaves and Joan (Richard) Keeton; Five Grandchildren: Morgan (Josh) Reaves, Meagan (Zach) Cagle, Jon (Addie) Reaves, Blake (Amanda) Keeton and Tyler Keeton; Two Great Grandchildren: Zoey Brooke Cagle and Levi Alan Keeton; Sister: Evelyn Hamm and Brother: Frank Chappell.

A time of Visiting with Family and Friends will be Wednesday, May 19th from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at Sandusky First Baptist Church - 1125 Haven Dr. B'ham, Al  35214, with a Service celebrating his life beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Graveside Service on Thursday, May 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Church of Christ Cemetery, Quinton, Alabama.
