John Aldridge, June 16, 1926 - August 9, 2014, age 88 passed away Saturday. He was born in Winston County, Al. but spent his early years in Alexander City, Al. before moving to Birmingham as a young adult where he met and married Marilyn Taylor. He was retired from the City of Birmingham. He was a member of Berney Points Baptist Church and a long time member of the Birmingham Mustang Club and a Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents Bethel and Annie Aldridge, brother Belton Aldridge, sisters Louise Austinson and Velma Aldridge. He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Rowell (Frank), son John A. Aldridge (Joan), grandsons Tech Sgt. Hudson Musgrove, U.S. Air Force stationed in Tucson, Az. Josh Aldridge, & Jordan Aldridge; sisters Mary McCulley and Betty Jordan and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Active Pallbearers will be Hudson Musgrove, Josh Aldridge, Jordan Aldridge, Stanley McCulley, Chris Jordan, Fred Berry, Bill Williamson and Don Marcum. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
