John Wayne Franklin of Watson was born August 1, 1963 to Johnny & Linda Franklin. He was a 1981 Graduate of Gardendale High School and a 1987 UAB Graduate, was a big fan of the UAB Blazers and enjoyed attending UAB Football games, he was a UAB Alumni and was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. He worked many years doing computer programming He was a member of Bivens Chapel United Methodist Church for many years. He went to be with the Lord on Fathers Day, Sunday June 20 ^th . He will be missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Doyle and Ruby King and Troy and Clara Franklin. He is survived by his Loving Parents, Johnny and Linda Franklin; Sister, Tammy Williams (Jeff); Two Nieces, Whitney Williams and Krissy Howard (Jonathan). He was an Organ Donor for Eyes.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 26 ^th at 2:00 p.m. at Bivens Chapel United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the Church. Rev. Guy Moore will be officiating.
