John C. Goode Sr (JC), 72 of Hoover (formally of Mineral Springs) passed away on May 10, 2013. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Brookside Lodge. He retired from Hayes Aircraft. Preceded in death by his son John C. Goode Jr.(Dody), his granddaughter Ashley Nicole Goode and his son in law Jeff Smith. Survivors include Carol, his soul-mate, daughters Patti Smith and Melissa Goode, sons James Goode and Wesley Goode, 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Sam Frazier and Rev. Glenn Keedy will be officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, May 13th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Bell Forestdale Chapel. Special thanks to Affinity Home Hospice and Amedisys Home Health.
