John William McMicken  age 70 of Birmingham was born, December 24, 1948  and died April 22, 2019.  Johnny was born to Berniece (Bob) and Louise Turner McMicken of Sylvan Springs.  He attended Mulga Jr. High, Dixie Jr. High and Minor High School Class of 1967.  He enjoyed NASCAR and any kind of Ball Game especially Alabama "Roll Tide".   He was a member of Alabama NASCAR Hall of fame.  He grew up attending Maytown Baptist Church and was currently a member of Valleydale Baptist Church and was a Mason.  He was preceded in death by his Beloved Wife, Judy; his Parents; Stepfather, Murphy Tingle; Sister, Linda Sue Straughn and Brother, Bobbie Joe McMicken (Linda).  He is survived by Sons, Brad McMicken, Chad McMicken (Angelica); Stepson, Jason Acton (Chiaki); Sister, Gay Bradley and Special Friend, Linda Higgins.  Grandsons, Connor, Colin and Michael (Mikey) McMicken;  Step Grandsons, Devin Acton, Dominick Lina , Kai Kiaaina; many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.  We would like to Thank all of the Doctors and Nurses in the CVU & MICU at Brookwood Medical Center for their wonderful care of John and your care and compassion to us," You Are The Best."  Family will be receiving friends on Friday, April 26 ^th at 10:30 a.m. with A Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Maytown Baptist Church.   In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to Maytown Baptist Church @ 4679 Birmingport Rd, Mulga, AL 35118.
