Johnny A. Miniard, age 86, of Forestdale went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. We wold like to thank the hospice nurses for making his final weeks as comfortable as possible. He was a lifelong resident of the Hillview community, 1955 graduate of Minor High School. He retired from the Insulation Industry, he was a long time member of Republic Baptist Church faithfully served as a Deacon, Usher and Men's Ministry Leader. He was preceded in death by his Parents, John H. and Edith V. Miniard. He is survived by his Wife of 65 years, Labetha Miniard, who served as his caregiver the past several years; Son, Roger Miniard of Forestdale, Daughter-in-law, Tracy Miniard of Forestdale; Brothers, Erskine Morgan of Westover and Edward Morgan of Vandiver ; Grandsons, Cody Hendrix (Heather) of McCalla and John Curtis Hendrix of Forestdale; Great Grandkids, Areil, Stella and Brody Hendrix of McCalla and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 9th at 11:30 a.m. at Bell Funeral Home Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Longtime Pastor and Friend, Bro. Guy Moore will be officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m.

He loved the Lord, his family and Alabama Football.
