Joseph Earl Melton was born November 16, 1943 and departed this life on May 17, 2024. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Judy Melton; Parents, Carl & Stella Melton; Siblings, James, Charles, Harold and Martie.

He is survived by Daughter, Shannon Melton; Grandson, Kyle Bramlett (Ashley); Granddaughter, Elysia Edwards (Josh); Grandson, Taylor Bramlett (Brittany); Grandson, Andrew Bramlett; Six Great Grandchildren; Bro-in-law and Best Friend, Cliff "Peewee" Roberts (Nancy); and Sisters-in-law, Rose Melton and Barbara Eanes.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd at Gloryland Baptist Church 1829 Circlewood Drive Birmingham, Alabama 35214 with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Pastor Jordan Forshee will be officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday at Gloryland Baptist Church from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
