Juanita Fritz Courington, age 78, was called home on September 5, 2017 by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to be with him in glory forever.  She was a member of Forestdale Baptist Church, taught Sunday School and was active in mission work.  She was retired from State Farm Insurance.She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Barney B. Courington; children, Danita Boston and Steven Fritz Courington; parents, Ann and Gus Fritz.  She is survived by grandchildren, Cole Boston, Sloan and Sawyer Courington; brother-in-law, Jimmy Courington; niece ,Debra Click and family; nephew, Richard Courington and family; dearest friend and sister in Christ, Barbara Beasley Cooper.Funeral services will be at Bell Funeral Home Forestdale Chapel on Thursday, September 7 ^th at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper.  Rev. Don Batson officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday, One Hour Prior to Service.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested to make a donation in Juanita's memory to the ALS Association Alabama Chapter, 300 Cahaba Park Circle, Suite 209, Birmingham, AL  35242.  You may donate in general or make it for Walk to Defeat Birmingham Team Courington for the upcoming ALS Walk in October.
