Lavella Ann McKinney Gilliam, age 76, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Magnolia Ridge Nursing home, a caring and loving community in Gardendale, Alabama. She was born on June 11, 1942 in New Castle, Alabama.

She is preceded in death by her parents Robert Lovell and Ellen McKinney and her husband, Ronald Gilliam.

She was a member of Bayview Church of God. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, singing, reading, and Alabama football.

Those left to cherish her memories include

Son, Brett Gilliam of Hoover; Daughter, Kelli Ross (Steven) of Hayden; Grandson, Cyle Johnson (Leslie) of Margaret; Granddaughter, Sara Denard (Jared) of Trussville; Granddaughter, Brooke Gilliam of Auburn University; Granddaughter, Meris Gilliam of Hoover; Grandson, Jesse Ross of Hayden; Granddaughter, Breanna Ross of Hayden; Great Granddaughter, Autumn Johnson of Margaret and Brother, Alan McKinney (Frankie) of Gardendale.  Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 ^th at Bayview Church of God with burial to follow at Village Falls Cemetery.  Rev. Wayne Williams and Rev. Jerry Lankford will be officiating.  Visitation will be on Saturday at the Church One Hour Prior to Service.
