Ms. Lavita Hardin Hester, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Hester Hill, son, Robert Gabriel Hester, and her father, Robert Hardin Jr. She is survived by her mother, Peggy Hardin, her spouse, Lisa Windle, brother, Jon Bennett Hardin, nieces, Madelyn Lovell (Matt), Veronica Hardin, Olivia Gibson (Chris), one nephew, Vincent Hardin, and many great nieces and nephews.

Lavita was a member of Bayview Baptist Church, and was known to be a truly giving person, who spent her life taking care of others. She was a nurse for over 35 years. Lavita was a beautiful person and brought love to everyone she knew. Her smile brought happiness to all. Her sense of humor touched everyone, and she will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will take place at The Bell Forestdale Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
