Lois Simon Gibbons, of Fairfield, age 86, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was born September 8, 1928. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wylam for over 31 years, where she was also active in the Ladies Sodality. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, George Gibbons, Sr. Lois is survived by three children: George Gibbons, Jr. (Janice), Mike Gibbons (Debbie), Donna Ruland (Rod); nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Bell Forestdale Chapel on Friday, April 24th from 12:00 - 2:00 with Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Valhalla Cemetery.
