Draper, Lora Katherine
Lora Bridges Draper, age 95, of Sandusky, went to be with the Lord , Wednesday night, March 5, 2014. She was born December 22, 1918, close to Haleyville, Al. She was a lifelong active member of Sandusky First Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her passionate love of Jesus Christ and many people will miss her hugs and friendly smiles. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing/altering for the public and traveling worldwide. Her two husbands, Albert Lee Bridges, O. C. Draper and one granddaughter April Cave, preceded Lora in death. She is survived by two sons: Terry Lee Bridges (Betty) and Gary Ronnie Bridges (Brenda); four granddaughters; Lurah Compo (Matt), Dr. Rhonda Davis (Boyd), Clista Whitworth (Michael), Kathryn Johnson (Scott) and seven great grandchildren; Aram Baskin, Rebecca and Tabitha Davis, Caitlin and Malcolm Whitworth, Brooklyn and Chloe Johnson and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, 10:00, in the Chapel of Bell Funeral Home in Forestdale, Al., 2077 Pratt Hwy. The family will receive friends starting at 9:00 AM prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. Herman Pair. Rev. Barry Daniel will direct music. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville, Al. Pallbearers will be: Boyd Davis, Michael Whitworth, Scott Johnson, Dewayne Brakefield, Mike O''Donnell, and C. O. Jones. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
