Louise Sims Coleman age 88 of Birmingham, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. She was a Graduate of Minor High School Class of 1945, Seamstress for over 50 years, Member of McDonald''s Chapel United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for 26 years, also attended Open Door Church, Member of Order of the Eastern Star and Homemakers Club and wrote for The Community News for several years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Quinmon Pierce Coleman; her parents, John H. & Ruby Glaze Sims; brother, John W. Sims; two nephews, Thomas David Connally and John Junior Sims. She is survived by Sister, Patricia Sims Connally (Buddie) of Hayden; Aunt Charlotte Sims Phillips of Stone Mt., Ga.; many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins and a host of Friends. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3rd at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday one hour prior to service.
