Mrs. Margie Long, age 73 of Birmingham passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at UAB Hospital. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Bell Forestdale Chapel. Bro. Hollis Alexander will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale has been entrusted with the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin "Rufus" Odom; mother, Alta Niblet Odom; sisters, Carolyn Pickle and Jane Odom Pickle; brothers, Richard Odom and Rudy Odom; and granddaughter, Christy Long.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Long; sons, Bruce Long (Tammie), Rodney Long and Joey Long; daughters, Angela Thomas (John) and Alison Thompson (Scott); grandchildren, Courtney Tolbert, Shane Long, Madison Thomas and Bella Thompson; sisters, Patsy Graham, Susan Cooper and Charlotte McDuffie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
