Marion Cruce March 13, 1925 age 89 of Gardendale passed away on November 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Lettie Cruce; brothers, Pat, Joe, Mack and sister, OmaLee Battles. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Doris Cruce, sister, Olmer Webster; two daughters: Karen (George) Smith and Kathy (Randy) Youngblood; grandchildren: Jessica (Matt) Hauber, Erin (Caleb) Atkinson and Cole Youngblood; great-grandchildren: Leah Hauber and Miller Atkinson and several nieces and nephews. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was awarded a Purple Heart. He retired from Alabama Power in 1985 after 38 years of service. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Mike Pope will be officiating.
