Louise Alexander Childs, age 97, was born June 9, 1921, passed away September 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Melvin Childs, her parents Raymond and Nora Alexander, her sisters Ruth Alexander and Nita Mae Perry, and her nephew R.D. Perry. She is survived by daughters Suzan Billits and Ruth Grimmett (Mark), and other family and friends.

Mrs. Childs was a member of former Graysville Baptist Church. She worked at Graysville Flower Shop as a floral designer. In her last days, she resided at St. Martins in the Pines, Clay Cottage House. She loved her family, flowers, to travel, a good book, a great outfit and a fine meal.

Family wishes to give special thanks to her caregivers at the Clay House, especially "Felicia" and Compassus Hospice. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to St. Martins in the Pines.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 Thursday September 6, 2018 at Midway Cemetery in Adamsville. There will be no formal visitation.
