Marvin Eugene Claytor age 81 of Adamsville, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017. He was a member of the Volunteer Firemen and served as Chaplain with Shady Grove Fire Department for over 30 years; he was a Member and Deacon of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Ivaleen Claytor; Wife, Vernice Watts Claytor; Sisters, Loretta Higgins and Shirley Hallman. He is survived by his Daughters, Rebecca Edwards (Jeff), Mary Peoples (Willis), Alice Reach (Allen); Sister, Linda Boyd (Ballard); 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren; and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28th at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Charles Click and Rev. Wade Peoples will be officiating. Visitation will be at the Church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
