CROWDER, NELL ROBERTS, Nell was born to Benjamin and Annie Roberson on August 8, 1920 and passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 7:30 pm at her home in Fultondale and with her husband, Pelham A. Crowder, and children at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 8 sisters and her first husband, Otis David Roberts. She has 1 living sister, Liz Van Ness, McCalla, AL, 3 living children, Clyde D. Roberts (Kay Wiseman, Wife), Hoover, Al, Dr. Fred L. Roberts (Ganelle Stanley, wife) Hilton Head, SC, Judy Roberts Cranford (Dwayne, husband) Fultondale, AL, 1 living step-son, Dr. David Crowder (Dr. Evelyn Leonard Crowder, wife) Cullman, AL, 6 grandchildren , Darla Roberts Moore, Honolulu, HI, Dana Roberts, Hoover, Al, Jim Cranford, Gardendale, AL, Candace Liverett, Gardendale, Al, Tori Sheppard, Northern Ireland, UK, Tara Banks, Charleston, SC, 3 step-grandchildren, Jim Crowder, Sam Crowder, Andy Crowder, Cullman, AL and 9 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Bell Funeral Home in Forestdale, Sunday, October 7, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service following at 4:00 p.m. Nell''s three children will share their memories of her with friends and relatives with prayers being given by Rev. Lamar Jacks and Rev. Steve Wesson. There will be no graveside service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the care and kindness shown to Nell during her final days by Comfort Care Hospice and private nurse, Megan Brooks.
