Oliver Brian Brand, MD
(1930 - 2014)

Dr. Oliver Brian Brand went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 22, 2014. He dedicated his life to providing for his family and serving his community. He lived his life to the fullest doing what he loved - practicing medicine. He was active at Westwood Baptist Church in Forestdale, in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and in the Masonic Lodge. He cherished every friend and colleague he made. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served on a Navy hospital ship in Korea.
Dr. Brand is survived by his loving wife Betty Carol; his children and their spouses: David Brand (Grace), Carol Owings (Bill), Stephen Brand, and Briann Taylor (Tim); and his grandchildren: Shelly Floyd (Brian), Daniel Owings (Emily), Kristen Brand, Megan Taylor, Robin Owings, and Alexandra Taylor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or to Westwood Baptist Church in Forestdale, AL. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday Feb. 25th at Westwood Baptist Church in Forestdale. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 at the church. Rev. Charles Click and Rev. Steve Potts will be officiating. Bell Funeral Home Forestdale directing.
