Patricia Gaskey, age 83, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on July 8, 2026. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who treasured the time she spent with her family. Patricia enjoyed family gatherings, working word search books, and completing word search books.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna Wright (Bo), Tracy Bittle (Mark), and Wendy Clark; her son, Rex Gaskey (Tommie); her grandchildren, Chris Wright, Erica Wright, Justin Wright, Emily Green (Jared), Erin Wills (Matt), Brad Bittle (Candace), Mackenze Clark, Madison Deerman (Trenton), and Blake Clark; her great-grandchildren, Chase Bittle, and Tyson Green, with one great-grandchild, Shepard Deerman, expected soon; her sister, Cheryl Davis; her sister-in-law, Gail Burr (James); her special friend, Ann Tolbert; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald R. Gaskey; her parents, Bill and Georgia Thompson; her father- and mother-in-law, Howard and Bessie Gaskey; her sisters, Billie Simpson and Elizabeth Graybeal; her brothers-in-law, Billy Jo Gaskey, Johnny Graybeal, Howard “Bug” Gaskey, and George Simpson, Sr.; her sisters-in-law, Betty Gaskey and Gloria Gaskey; her nieces, Jill Conner and Amy Davis; great grandson, Odin Wright and her nephews,Barry Graybeal and George Simpson, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at Friday July 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Bell Funeral Home Forestdale Chapel with Rev. Todd Burr officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bivens Chapel Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Wright, Chris Wright, and Justin Wright.

Pallbearers will be Tony Burr, Blake Clark, Brad Bittle, Mark Bittle, Matt Wills, and Trenton Deerman.
