Obituary

Today, we gather with heavy hearts but grateful spirits to honor and celebrate the life of Ms. Paula Millwee Walker—a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Paula was a woman whose faith shaped every moment of her life. She often said that Jesus carried her through, and she lived with a quiet, unwavering confidence that He was always by her side. Through trials, losses, and the hardest chapters anyone could endure, Paula's faith did not waver. It strengthened her, sustained her, and shined through her in ways that touched every person who knew her. Paula lived a life marked by compassion. She was a good, sweet soul—kind to everyone, loving to all, and always ready with a gentle word or helping hand. She endured great hardships, including the heartbreaking losses of her daughter Stacy Payne, her husband Ricky Walker, her sister Tina Harris, and her parents Bige and Betty Millwee. But even in sorrow, Paula continued to love with an open heart. She carried her family's memories with grace and spoke of them often, always with warmth and hope. Her greatest earthly treasures were her family. She is survived by her daughter Tracy Alexander and Tracy's husband John, who were a constant source of love and comfort in her life. Her grandchildren—Dylan Hooper (Katlyn), Destiny Jay (Bryce), and Devan Alexander—brought her joy beyond measure. And her great-grandbabies—Berkeley Hooper, Emerson Hooper, Josie Jay, and Noa Jay—lit up her world. Paula's eyes sparkled whenever she spoke of them. To her, family was everything. She also cherished her devoted sisters—Linda Akins, Sandra Johnson, and Rhonda Scarvey—whose love and support carried her through life's storms. Paula loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. As we gather for her graveside service on December 3, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Crumly Chapel Cemetery, we do so with reverence for a life well lived and a legacy of faith that will echo for generations. Bell Funeral Forestdale Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements, Hollis Alexander will be officiating, honoring Paula. We will miss Paula's gentle spirit, her warm smile, and the steadfast love she gave so freely. But we take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with the loved ones she longed for, held in the arms of the Savior she trusted so completely. Today, we release her with love, grateful for the gift of her life and the imprint she leaves on our hearts.
