Crowder, Pelham Alfred age 93 of Fultondale, Al. passed away on 12-13-2013. He was preceded in death by his first wife Inez Richardson Crowder and his second wife Nell Roberts Crowder and also a brother Paul Crowder. Survivors include his son David Crowder (Evelyn); three step-children, Judy Cranford (Dwayne), Clyde Roberts (Day), Fred Roberts (Ganelle); brother, Howell Crowder (Vi); several grandchildren and a host of friends. He was a Navy veteran of WW II serving on board the USS Blue Fish submarine, he was also honored to serve as part of a prize crew that captured an Imperial Japanese Navy I-400 submarine. He was employed with U S Steel for many years before starting his business Crowders Automotive and Home Supply in 1953. Following retirement in 1986 he moved to Adamsville until 2007 when he moved to Fultondale where he made many great friends from bother communities. Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16th at Bell Forestdale Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Rev. Lamar Jacks will officiate.
