Ray Kent Madison age 89 of Birmingham, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020. He was a member of The Native American Honor Guard & Warrior Society & The Langley Band of C hickam o gee Cherokees of The South Eastern United States; was a member of Local Iron W orkers Union and while stationed in Panama he married his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Betty Madison. Ray told a story of he & Betty enjoying an 18 months long honeymoon while living in a tropical paradise. He was a lso a Long Standing member of Crumly Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his Parents: John Wesley Madison & Annie Woodring; Wife: Betty Madison; Brothers: Donald Madison, Billy Madison; Sister: Doris Foster; Daughter: Pamela De V ine and Great Granddaughter: Olivia Nichole Avery. He is survived by his Daughter, Cindy Davis (Wrendon); Granddaughters, Lurenda Avery (Ben) and Nichole Davis; Great Grandchildren, Jeffrey Avery, Chelsea Avery, Elijah Hatcher, and Adeline Hatcher and Brother, Roy Madison. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17 th in the Family Life Center at Crumly Chapel United Methodist Churc h. A Private Family Graveside Service will follow at Crumly Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Lynn Dimon officiating. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Crumly Chapel United Methodist Church.
